Fatima Bosch, representing Mexico at Miss Universe pageant, was hurt after disrespectful remarks were passed by the director of the show Nawat Itsaragrisil.
Videos have gone viral after the 25-year-old walked out of the ceremony followed by other participants that are each representing their countries.
Another clip showed the director asking the model to be respectful and “listen”; however, Fatima addressed the press standing outside.
While standing with Iraq’s participant, she insisted: “But what your director did is not respectful. He call me dumb because he have problems with the organisation.”
The delegate revealed that she did not “mess with anyone” and always tries “to be kind.” She was still silenced despite having a voice, which she believes the world “needs to see.”
Towards the end, Fatima revealed that she believes every woman is equal and does not depend on having a crown or a big dream.
At the end, her hand was pulled to ensure the model leaves the place.
It was later revealed that the Thailand director of the show issued an apology for his action at the sash ceremony. The problem began as Nawat earlier questioned her absence from a sponsor shoot that was scheduled.
