Aimee Lou Wood weighs in on Sydney Sweeney jeans controversy

Aimee Lou Wood has apparently reacted to Sydney Sweeney’s controversial jeans ad that invoked widespread backlash.

The Christy actress has addressed the infamous American Eagle ad that highlighted the wordplay between jeans and genes, which then got accused of promoting eugenics due her wordplay.

In a recent interview with GQ, the Anyone But You star finally directly talked about the issue months after it blew up.

“I did a jean ad. I mean, the reaction definitely was a surprise, but I love jeans. All I wear are jeans. I’m literally in jeans and a T-shirt every day of my life… I knew at the end of the day what that ad was for, and it was great jeans, it didn’t affect me one way or the other,” Sydney said.

The 28-year-old appears to not have taken the negativity to heart, and brushed it off as being blown out of proportion, seemingly evoking a reaction out of The White Lotus star.

A screenshot of Aimee’s comment has been circulating on social media, in which she simply put the vomit emoji under the caption put by renowned photographer Misan Harriman, with a clip of the interview.

Notably, the 31-year-old has an outspoken personality and often calls people out for things she believes aren’t right.
