Jay-Z’s battle with a man who goes by Rymir Satterthwaite, which was filed a decade ago to get the rapper to agree that he was his father, is finally over.
The Beef star was facing the suit filed by the 30-year-old man’s legal guardian and paralegal Lillie Coley, after his now-deceased mother seeking child support.
As per Page Six, a California judge has sided with the record producer’s motion to dismiss the paternity suit, with prejudice, which means that the plaintiff cannot re-file the same case again.
Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter’s lawyers came out to call the allegations “harassment,” with other straightforward remarks.
“The fabricated allegations and claims have been addressed—and rejected—in multiple other courts,” the attorney also said at the time.
Meanwhile, Rymir had claimed that he was not seeking primarily financial support, and was instead looking for reputational and emotional distress damages.
The plaintiff had been relentless for years, and even stated that he would not stop pushing the suit until he won, adding that he believed that the law would be on his side.
Jay-Z released his thirteenth and last studio album in 2017 which was titled 4:44. The album was nominated for Album of the Year at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards.
