Singer Todd Snider arrested for threatening hospital staff

American singer Todd Snider has been arrested in Salt Lake City during a tour stop for causing disturbance at a hospital.

A police booking affidavit claims that he was taken into custody on Sunday, going on to get booked at the Salt Lake County Jail to be investigated for disorderly conduct at THE Salt Lake City Regional Hospital.

He also faces accusations of trespassing and making a threat of violence, for refusing to accept his discharge from the hospital which led to him yelling/cursing at the staff."

The affidavit further states that his behaviour triggered "alarm among hospital employees and residents.”

Snider left the hospital premises after being asked to do so by a hospital staff member, but then ended up returning.

He then "made verbal threats to the victim by getting into the face of the victim and stating they were going to 'kick your (expletive)’.”

The singer was scheduled to perform on Saturday night at South Salt Lake but the show was cancelled due to him being attacked, according to a statement from his team.

Shockingly, the remainder of his tour has also been cancelled, as a statement read, "Ahead of Todd Snider's show in Salt Lake City, Todd sustained severe injuries as the victim of a violent assault outside of his hotel.”

Details of the attack have not been revealed.
