Taylor Swift has been spotted hanging out with her longtime pal Gigi Hadid, and the pop star appears to be sending a message with her outfit.

The duo was photographed leaving the exclusive club Zero Bond in New York City, donning smiles and chic looks.

In the snaps, the mother-of-one was in all-black from head to toe, wearing black heels, black leather trousers a soft trench coat, shirt and a bag of the same colour.

Meanwhile Taylor wore a pleated mini dress with a black blazer style coat and although her nails were sparkly orange, quite on theme with her latest album era The Life of a Showgirl, two noticeable details were unmistakable nods to one of her prior aesthetics.

The 14-time Grammy winner’s knee high boots and bag were snake print, which is a massive symbol of her Reputation era.

The edgy aesthetic that came alongside the sixth studio album was marked by the snake symbol, with the Mastermind singer’s bodysuit, music videos, and tour stage featuring the animal.

It was an indication that she was turning the motif’s negative connotation in the media and public as something positive, a way to reinvent and empower herself by embracing the ‘snake’ label.

Notably, Taylor has been facing a lot of backlash lately over her twelfth studio album and assumed political inclinations.
