Seth Meyers has joined the list of late night hosts disliked by Donald Trump, due to their mockery of his choices and actions.
The President of the United States was critiqued by the Late Night With Seth Meyers host for his statement on catapults during his visit to Japan.
In the episode, the comedian made fun of the businessman’s idea that the catapults should revert back to being steam-powered instead of electromagnetic.
The politician had also said that he would issue an executive order to make sure the move was implemented, all of which Meyers made fun of.
Trump later took to Truth Social to candidly declare his thoughts on Meyers mockery, writing, “Seth Meyers of NBC may be the least talented person to ‘perform’ live in the history of television, in fact, he may be the WORST to perform, live or otherwise.”
The head of state added that he had just watched the show for the first time in years, in which the late night host, “On and on he went, a truly deranged lunatic."
"Why does NBC waste its time and money on a guy like this??? - NO TALENT, NO RATINGS, 100% ANTI TRUMP, WHICH IS PROBABLY ILLEGAL!!!” Trump added.
This is not the first time Trump has taken offense to a talk show host, as he had made his stance on Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallon abundantly clear by blasting all of them on his social media as well.
Meyers show was briefly cancelled when the host got COVID-19 for a second time.
