Gayle King finally breaks silence on 'marriage': 'Getting a lot of texts'

Gayle King is clearing the air about her shock wedding and images with flashy engagement ring and a husband, on live television.

The author has been spotted next to a good-looking man in a wedding dress on social media, but as it turns out, the images are not true.

In the Friday episode of CBS Mornings, the broadcast journalist hilariously stated, “been getting a lot of texts, a lot of messages, stories online that I got engaged, Take a look at me with a big ring on my finger. There’s a lucky man — I have no idea who he is.”

Gayle clarified, “These (AI-)generated images have been making their way across the internet. So I’m here to say exclusively on CBS Mornings, I’m not married, not even engaged.”

The 70-year-old revealed that even she questioned if the pictures were real because of how well done and deceptive they were.

Gayle joked about the man who was described as being a figure in the business world, that is also philanthropic and has a discreet public presence that she would like to meet him.

Notably, magazine editor stated at the end of her monologue that if she ever got married she would let people know.
