Robert Pattinson reveals Jennifer Lawrence’s first movie he ever saw

Robert Pattinson could see that Jennifer Lawrence was the “biggest star” when he saw her for the first time back in 2010.

Pattinson and Lawrence, stars of Lynne Ramsay’s new movie Die, My Love, were spotted together at the New York premiere.

Speaking with Variety, the Twilight actor reflected on Winter’s Bone, which was the first movie he saw featuring Lawrence. The Oscar-winning actress starred as an overwrought teenager searching for her father in the Ozarks in the 2010 film.

“I just remember she was like the thing on the scene,” Pattinson said. “When that movie came out, it was like everyone went to see, like, ‘Okay, who is this girl?’”

Pattinson said Lawrence’s acting had an “elemental power,” and anyone watching her at that point in her career knew that “she was the biggest star in the world.”

Winter’s Bone catapulted a 20-year-old Jennifer Lawrence into stardom, earning her the first of four Academy Award nominations for Best Actress.

After auditioning for Twilight, she landed the iconic role of Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games about a year later, another defining YA franchise of the early 2010s.

Die, My Love hits theatres on November 7.
