Jessica Simpson celebrated a healing milestone with her fans on Instagram after 8 years of sobriety.
In an emotional message the 45-year-old shared her joy and experience with recovery.
The Leave songstress reflected on the day she decided to get rid of her drinking habit as she "confronted, confessed, and let go of the self sabotaging parts" of her life that she was choosing.
She wrote, "Making that decision allowed me to fully live in the pursuit of God’s purpose for my life" as she advised her fans to choose faith over fear.
Simpson described how alcohol had eaten at her peace and creativity, labelling it a spiritual and emotional blockage that nearly left her questioning the purpose of her life.
"Alcohol silenced my intuition, blocked my dreams and chased my circulating fears of complacency," she noted, "Today I am clear. Today I am driven by faith."
The mom of three added an inspiring message about true courage, writing, "Both fear and faith are something that we feel and may not see -- I'm so happy I chose faith over fear. It was not in the fight that I found my strength, it was in the surrender."
Simpson has been vocal about her sobriety as she first revealed her decision of quitting alcohol in 2017.
Fans are congratulating her and looking forward to her songs and on screen projects after her recovery.
