Ariana Grande’s ‘intrusive thoughts’ take over in viral video

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo’s promotion for the Wicked sequel, Wicked: For Good is ongoing, but a frenzied video from the original is going viral on social media. 

The clip taking over the internet is from the Europian premiere from last year's release, and features the iconic duo that plays Glinda and Elphaba in the beloved musical, posing alongside a group of fans. 

As everyone is smiling and posing for pictures, a full champagne glass that is hovering over a fan’s head falls and chaos ensues.

It appears that the glass was dropped by a fan in the back, and the Harriet actress and Bloodline singer along with the rest of the fans realised what had happened as the glass hit the floor and broke noisily.

Ariana instinctively hit a vocal run before everyone turned their attention from the broken glass to a fan who goes by ‘Tricia The Angel’ on the internet as they became aware that the alcohol had trickled into her eyes before the glass fell.

The little high note has fans going crazy because of how random it was in the moment, as well as speculation that the person holding the glass did it on purpose.

Tricia has since then taken to her Tiktok to explain the moment, as well as describing how kind the Into You singer and Cynthia were to her, and how they helped soothe her and her eyes as she cried.

The online creator added that if the people watching her video had no intention to go watch Wicked: For Good, the should go just to support the actresses, since they were both so kind to her, and how they are just as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside.

Why is it called 'Wicked: For Good'?

The film title is a nod to a duet between Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo's characters, Elphaba and Glinda, called For Good.
