Taylor Swift gets incorporated in Zohran Mamdani’s NYC mayoral race

Taylor Swift fans are not missing out on the New York City democratic mayoral candidate’s mentions of the global popstar’s songs during his public remarks.

The 34-year-old appears to be leading the public’s favour already as is, but his seemingly deep knowledge of the global popstar might end up attracting an even broader audience than expected.

In a conversation to reporters about the money spent against his campaign, he rebutted it by saying that his team was overcoming it with volunteers and traditional campaigning.

The state representative then adds, "like Taylor Swift says, 'I've seen this film before.' But unlike she says, we actually like the ending,” referring to his turnaround of a seemingly negative situation.

Zohran was asked elsewhere that if he had to choose three pop songs which best emulate his campaign which those would be.

After listing Hate It or Love It and Right Above It the candidate added, “shout out to Taylor Swift, Only The Young, which is a song from her Miss Americana documentary, encouraging young adults and teenagers to vote.

Notably, this seems to have worked in Zohran’s favour, as fans were impressed that he knew the songs while some added that they would be voting for him.
