Taylor Swift fans ‘disown’ Sombr amid backlash

Sombr is showing off the ways Taylor Swift supported him amid recent fallout, and swifties are swiftly humbling him.

The 20-year-old has become controversial after a netizen who went to his concert talked about his inappropriate remarks on stage, while the crowd consists of primarily minors at the up-and-coming artist’s gigs.

Despite all this, the We Never Dated singer took to his TikTok to share the necklace given to him by the Red hit maker alongside a letter he previously raved about.

Sombr showed it off on the platform writing, “when someone asks if i'm a true swiftie but taylor herself gave me this necklace.”

However, other swifties made their way to X (formerly Twitter) to write that they do not associate with the singer.

“Trying to get the swifties on your side... NO ma'am!” wrote one fan while another added, “as a swiftie, we do not claim sombr.”

A third netizen wrote, “him trying to use taylor to get out of controversy,” with a crying emoji as a fourth remarked, “We don’t associate with this weirdo!!!”

Notably, Taylor did give Sombr a shout out in one of her interviews during The Life of a Showgirl promo, saying she was listening to his music.

Sombr gained a significant amount of attention when his tracks Back to Friends and Undressed went viral on TikTok in March of this year.
