'Crime 101’ shows off high stakes heist at heels of Louvre robbery

The Crime 101 trailer could not have been timed better, as it has been released fresh after the Louvre heist which sparked a lot of buzz on social media.

In the star studded trailer, featuring Chris Hemsworth, Halle Berry, Mark Ruffalo and Barry Keoghan, are all caught up in a dramatic robbery.

The synopsis for the Amazon MGM Studios reads, “Set against the sun-bleached grit of Los Angeles,” the Thor actor stages “high-stakes heists unfolding along the iconic 101 freeway.”

Its 3-minute trailer has been put out just days after the Louvre heist was masterfully carried out in broad daylight, with millions of dollars’ worth of jewels embedded with rich cultural significance being stolen.

The irony of the moment was not lost on netizens, who rushed to the comments to make references to the impressive heist.

“A movie about robberies? They released this trailer at the perfect time lol,” one internet user wrote in the comments, while another added, “Interesting how this trailer dropped right after the robbery at the louvre in france?”

“It's been a while since a good crime/heist movie. Does this end with Chris robbing the Louvre?” a third netizen quipped with a fourth writing, “So Thor stole that jewelry from the louvre.”
