Prince Andrew’s friend makes harsh statement after his title surrender

Prince Andrew’s close friend has made a strong statement criticising the monarchy.

The statement comes after Andrew took the decisive step to renounce his titles on Friday.

On October 17, the father-of-two announced in a statement that he will be relinquishing his titles after a discussion with King Charles.

While speaking to The Daily Beast’s The Royalist, a friend of the prince bashed the King’s monarchy for its decisions.

“Andrew has been treated monstrously by his family. He has done everything they have asked. He has been found guilty of no crime.”, Andrew’s friend said.

Another friend of the prince said it is “customary to consider a man innocent until proven guilty.”

The decision was taken as the scandals surrounding the prince were taking attention away from the royal family’s work.

The situation unrolled ahead of the launch of Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous autobiography.

Virginia described being trafficked to the Duke of York, at least three times and in her memoir she recounts the incidents in her words.

Royal experts believe Andrew has been “forced into this corner, and he’s livid about it”.

On October 20, Andrew’s Duke of York title was officially removed from the royal family’s website.
