During the show’s 20th anniversary panel at New York Comic Con on Sunday, October 12, the original cast reunited to reveal what’s next for the Avatar world.

The cast ensemble included Zach Tyler Eisen (Aang), Jack De Sena (Sokka), Michaela Jill Murphy (Toph), Dante Basco (Zuko), Mae Whitman (Katara), and co-creator Bryan Konietzko.

A new one-on-one fighting video game, currently titled Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game, was unveiled, featuring hand-drawn 2D animation, the game will include fan-favorite characters like Aang, Katara, Sokka, Zuko, Azula, Toph, and Korra, showcasing their signature bending powers.

Players can expect epic Avatar State battles and elemental combat when the game hits consoles in the summer of 2026.

That’s not all, fans will also be treated to a chibi-style, 2D animated YouTube series reimagining classic scenes and stories from the original show.

The Avatar universe isn’t slowing down anytime soon, with an upcoming sequel series, Avatar: Seven Havens, and the feature film The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender, slated for theatrical release on October 9, 2026.
