James Gunn lists his conditions for continuing with DCU
James Gunn is taking some time to breathe now that the second season of 'Peacemaker' has finished
Filmmaker James Gunn is taking some time to breathe now that the second season of Peacemaker has finished airing.
However, the head of the DCU is still intent on taking the lead on several other projects within the franchise.
He made the announcement of the new and improved DCU back in 2022, with him and Peter Safran taking the lead.
Gunn further revealed at the time that he would direct the Superman film, to be filmed alongside the second season of Peacemaker.
Currently, the major project he is working on besides the role of producer in different works, is Superman 2.
When asked if he would direct anything again, he confirmed, "There's a plan that I’m going to do a couple more, at least.”
The director did not elaborate on what those projects may be, but the sequel Man of Tomorrow is confirmed to be one of them.
On what may stop him from continuing to take on the director role, Gunn said, "I may get so f****** tired that I can't do it, because I’m pretty tired, but we'll see.”
He previously revealed that he has a shortlist of actors that he wants to take on the role of Batman, with Robert Pattinson’s iteration confirmed to not be a part of the DCU.
