Simon Cowell admits getting Botox and cosmetic treatments

Simon Cowell is finally ready to speak his truth when it comes to having cosmetic surgery allegations keeping him in headlines for years. 

The music mogul's face has drastically changed over the last decade. He admitted to choosing to go for certain procedures to upgrade his appearance. 

The X Factor judge revealed he has had Botox and laser treatments, but firmly shut down the biggest rumour surrounding him having a "facelift".

“I have heard certain things about how I’ve had a facelift. I haven’t,” the 66-year-old told the Daily Mail, finally addressing the long-running speculation.

Cowell didn’t shy away from being brutally honest about how he sees himself either. “I’ve had Botox. I’ve had lasers and this and that. I look at myself sometimes and go, ‘Oh God, I look s***.’”

The 66-year-old TV host was not looking for perfection through cosmetic treatments but it was more about curiosity and authenticity for him. 

He admitted that there was something “thrilling” about the experience but it also made him feel vulnerable sometimes.

“Sometimes I think I look OK. I’m more about, ‘Is it real?’ I guess that authenticity was my main thing,” he shared, adding, “That’s the thrill of doing this, it’s so vulnerable.”

Best known for shaping global franchises like The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent, Cowell has long been one of TV’s most recognisable faces.

He is also known as the man who famously put One Direction on the map. Now, he’s choosing to be just as recognisable for his transparency.
