Harvey Weinstein was recently found guilty in a retrial, but the film producer’s legal team is moving to have his conviction overthrown.

In June of 2025, the Untouchable actor was held accountable for one count of criminal sexual assault of a former assistant, Miriam Haley.

However, soon after the 12-person jury gave its verdict, some jurors have come out to claim that they were forced into the ruling, and that if things had been fair and authentic the jury would have been hung.

The jurors also complained to Judge Curtis Farber, of the other jurors misconduct but their appeals allegedly fell on deaf ears.

In filings submitted this week, Harvey’s attorney Arthur Aidala writes, that the court“failed to conduct a sufficient inquiry when such misconduct was brought to its attention.”

The filings also include affidavits signed by at least two jurors, whose names have been redacted for privacy reasons, who admit that they were threatened to give the guilty verdict during deliberations.

“I regret the verdict. Without the intimidation from other jurors, I believe that the jury would have hung on the Miriam Haley charge,” reads the affidavit.

Harvey’s lawyer, Aidala has used all this to request a hearing on the jury’s misconduct and the court’s response to it during the trial.

Did the judge report the jurors concerns?

Yes, judge Farber stated during the trial, “He did indicate that at least one other juror made comments to the effect of ‘I’ll meet you outside one day,’ and there’s yelling and screaming,” referring to the juror that confided in him.
