Taylor Swift’s new album, The Life of a Showgirl, features her most raunchy song, Wood, which talks about intimate details about her fiancé, Travis Kelce.

On the Tuesday, October 7, episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Swift explained what went behind the creation of the risqué lyrics of Wood.

"I brought this into the studio,” she started explaining, “and I was like, ‘I want to do a throwback, kind of timeless-sounding song,’ and I have this idea about, like, ‘I ain’t gotta knock on wood,’ and we would knock on wood, and it would be all these superstitions.”

The Grammy-winning singer justified, “It really started out in a very innocent place,” adding with a laugh, she said, “You know, it started out… I don’t know what happened, man."

"I got in there. We started vibing, and I don’t know. I don’t know how we got here,” Swift said, “but I love this song so much."

Previously, on Friday, October 3, Swift revealed her mom’s thoughts about the song during an interview on SiriusXM's The Morning Mash Up.

"I think that she thinks that that song is about superstitions, popular superstitions, which it absolutely is," said Swift about her mom, referring to superstitious activities like knocking on wood, stepping on cracks, and wishing on falling stars.
