Members of Korean group Blackpink and One Direction are set to join forces in a new collaboration.
Former 1D boy Zayn Malik is set collaborate with Blackpink fame Jisoo on their new song.
Jisoo hinted at the upcoming surprise duet that is to be released in October.
On October 6, the singer shared a mysterious teaser image on social media, featuring a male silhouette standing beside her.
The picture featured “EYESCLOSED” written across it, posted with the caption “A duet is near.”
Later, another post was shared with the caption “two voices, one orbit. coming soon.”
Now, it has been revealed that the mystery collaborator is in fact Zayn Malik.
The announcement left the fans of the two delighted.
One fan wrote, "This collab bout to heal my teenage wounds"
Another wrote, "Wait… Jisoo and Zayn in one song? That’s visuals, vocals, and pure vibe overload."
The collaboration was announced after the singer infamously attended a Blackpink concert with his daughter Khai, who he parents with former partner Gigi Hadid.
Zayn attended the show with Khai on July 27 and after the show he shared a snap from he event on his Instagram story.
He wrote, “@BLACKPINKOFFICIAL THANK YOU [happy face emoji] ME & KHAI LOVED IT”.
Meanwhile, Jisoo is on DEADLINE tour with the group which began in Seoul in July.
