Prince Harry narrowly avoided a frightening encounter after a woman described as his “female stalker” was discovered hiding in a hotel bathroom just minutes before his arrival.
The Duke of Sussex, 40, was due to attend a private event at The Royal Lancaster Hotel in West London ahead of the WellChild Awards on September 8.
Sources say the woman was found 20 minutes before his arrival, making “strange comments” about him in the women’s toilets.
Security quickly intervened and removed her from the premises, but the situation escalated when she reportedly appeared again two days later, this time outside Imperial College’s Centre for Blast Injury Studies, where Harry was attending another engagement.
“There was no police presence or close protection. It was left to two of his staffers to step in,” a source told The Mail on Sunday. “They got lucky this time.”
The woman is believed to be known to Harry’s security team and reportedly suffers from mental health issues.
She allegedly followed Harry and Meghan during their trip to Nigeria last year.
