During Jimmy Kimmel Live!’s final night of its Brooklyn residency, Matt Damon showed up in disguise as “Frankie Focus,” New York Gov. Kathy Hochul’s bright green mascot promoting an anti-phone campaign for students.
But things quickly spiralled into classic Kimmel-Damon chaos.
Kimmel, playing along, asked Frankie why kids should pay attention in school, only for the mascot to roast him instead.
“Because they’ll never get a college degree. Say, Jimmy, did you get a college degree?” Damon, in character, teased. When Kimmel awkwardly admitted he hadn’t, Frankie shot back, “I could tell… from watching your stupid monologue!”
The back-and-forth escalated as Frankie called Kimmel “dumb” and compared him to a sewer-drenched Jimmy Fallon. That’s when Kimmel finally jerked off the mascot’s head, revealing Damon to thunderous applause.
“I wore this costume as a last chance to get on the show,” Damon joked, pretending it was Kimmel’s “last ever” episode. Kimmel quickly corrected him — only for Damon to double down, saying, “But the president canceled you… which I was a big fan of!”
The crowd erupted, marking yet another legendary moment in their 23-year fake rivalry that just refuses to die, much to fans’ delight.
