Sean “Diddy” Comb’s federal trial has crawled past its final phase of sentencing but has definitely not had a satisfying end as per a majority of users on the internet.
The record producer received his four year and two months’ sentence from Judge Arun Subramanian along with some harsh words and a $500,000 fine, and although there were those that thought this was a harsh decision, most people argued that it was not enough.
As the 55-year-old was convicted of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, his maximum prison time could have been two decades behind bars.
The sentencing he received has been met with a lot of discussions about justice not being served, since had kept up with the harrowing testimonies of ex-girlfriends and victims like Cassie Ventura and an anonymous “Jane.”
Diddy’s viral hotel room footage has also been seen by many, in which he infamously dragged and beat Cassie, which is precisely why netizens are outraged.
“The judge giving Diddy 50 months as a sentence is laughable. What a disgrace…” one internet user wrote, while another added, “after terrorising, abusing, and violating women and men for 90 years, diddy getting 4 years is an absolute disgrace.”
These are the sentiments that have been echoed by many, as they rally up behind the idea that this too little of a time to serve in comparison to Diddy’s crimes.
Diddy was indicted in the Southern District of New York on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking by force and transportation for purposes of prostitution.
