Lola Young, who is notable for being a rising pop star, cancelled her shows after collapsing on stage during her performance at the All Things Go Festival.
After the 24-year-old singer rose to fame with her song Messy, Lola found herself in a tight spot due to this breakthrough single.
Carter Lang, one of the producers of the 2024 track, demanded compensation for Messy which garnered more than one billion streams.
It was reported by The Sun that Lola and her team were not expecting Carter to come forward with the claims and demand a “cut."
The singer’s team filed a legal complaint against Carter with her lawyer expressing “immense disappointment” for taking the issue to the court.
The source noted it is being hoped that this will be put “to bed quickly because it is incredibly stressful for a young artist,” who’s otherwise helpful towards her staff and collaborators.
Moreover, the producer is insisting he “is owed money for three other songs” despite Lola’s authenticity and acknowledgement for “song writing contributions.”
Although the feud came to light recently, it has been “ongoing for several months.”
A day earlier, the Don’t Hate Me singer cancelled all her shows after she fell unconscious in front of the attendees at the music festival.
She later took to her Instagram to update her fans that she is doing “okay” but did not address the cause of the medical emergency that worried everyone.
