Meghan Markle's name removed from LA gala lineup after reschedule

​​Meghan Markle’s name has mysteriously disappeared from the lineup of a star-studded Los Angeles gala where she was originally set to be honoured.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, was first announced as a guest of honour at the Night of Wonder gala hosted by the Natural History Museums of Los Angeles County back in June. 

The lavish event, designed to resemble an “enchanted garden at night” with immersive exhibits, live music, and fine dining, was postponed due to protests in the area.

Now, with the gala rescheduled for October 15, Meghan’s name is notably absent from the official program. 

The Duchess was initially set to be honoured for her advocacy in “championing women and underserved communities.” 

At the time, museum president Lori Bettison-Varga praised Meghan as a “native Angeleno” whose work aligns with their mission to expand STEM and STEAM pathways for youth.

Interestingly, Meghan’s name never appeared on the museum’s website, and her attendance was only confirmed via Bettison-Varga’s comments.
