British singer Florence Welch revealed a major health scare that almost killed her.
The 39-year-old singer said she suffered massive internal bleeding after her fallopian tube ruptured.
Doctor’s swift action and treatment, who insisted she had a scan, saved her life.
The singer said it was diagnosed as ectopic pregnancy.
“I had an ectopic pregnancy, on stage. The closest I came to making life was the closest I came to death.”, she told The Guardian.
Talking about the incident she recalled “I felt like I had stepped through this door, and it was just full of women, screaming.”
The singer and her partner were thrilled when she got pregnant in 2023. However, it ended in a miscarriage early on.
Speaking about her health she said, “It was my first experience of even trying to get pregnant, and I thought, there’s no way, because I’m ancient.”
Florence also opened up about her grief following the miscarriage.
“Emotionally, I was sad and scared”, the singer said.
She was due to make an appearance at a festival in Cornwall but had to push back after her doctor’s advice.
Ectopic pregnancy is a type of conception when the egg implants and grows outside the main cavity of the uterus.
