Millie Bobby Brown to star as Olympian Kerri Strug in ‘Perfect’

Millie Bobby Brown isn’t saying farewell to Netflix anytime soon, as the streamer is offering her the opportunity to star as Olympian Kerri Strug in Perfect.

With her breakout role as Eleven on the hit series Stranger Things coming to an end this year, the Emmy-nominated actress is already eyeing her next big character, according to Deadline.

Insiders report that Brown is in final talks to take on the role of Olympic gymnastics icon Kerri Strug in Perfect.

The film will be directed by Gia Coppola, with Netflix reportedly circling the project as negotiations continue.

Scripted by Ronnie Sandahl, the film will also see Brown producing under her PMCA banner, alongside Nik Bower of Riverstone Pictures and Thomas Benski of Magna Studios as lead producers.

Through Strug’s story, Brown steps into one of the most iconic Olympic narratives ever told — and one of the defining sports moments of the ’90s.

As part of the legendary 1996 U.S. gymnastics squad, the “Magnificent Seven,” Strug cemented her place in history by landing a vault on a severely injured ankle, securing gold for her team.
