Margot Robbie suffers major career setback after ‘Barbie’

Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell suffered a big blow as their newly released movie A Big Bold Beautiful Journey directed by Kogonada flopped in cinemas.

First premiered in the Philippines on September 17, and then in the UK and US on September 19, the movie brought in only $3.5million with reportedly $50million budget.

It became Margot’s biggest flop movie in her US career, following Babylon with $3.6million and Amsterdam with $6.4million sales.

The duo has been working hard promoting the album since July, 2025 but all went into vain when the movie premiered.

It is to be noted that according to critics the movie was interesting in the starting but got boring as the time went by.

The story of a boy and girl who met at a party and continues their trip into the forests only to discover doors to their past.

The trailer thrilled people all over the world and the movie was anticipated more than ever after the blockbuster hit Barbie, but it resulted in failure as people call it a story that is all over the place.

The unsatisfactory results from office has Margot’s fans concerned, as her new movie Wuthering Heights, directed by Emerald Fennell, with Jacob Elord is set to be released on February 13, 2026.

For the unfamiliar, the Barbie movie featuring Ryan Gosling and the 35-year-old was a big hit earning $70.5 million on its preview and first day launch.
