Sarah Paulson’s multiple Emmy nominations make her a veteran at the prestigious event, so she did not pass up on the opportunity of helping a friend a friend out with her first time attending.
The Bird Box actress opened up about giving The Pitt star Katherine LaNasa some advice before her appearance, which was once passed down to her by Jamie Lee Curtis.
In an interview with People, the 50-year-old stated, "She calls me her Emmys coach because I've been really fortunate to have gone and run that gauntlet a couple of times, and I've won and I've lost," referring to the Imposters star.
"I just sort of was trying to remind her of all the things that nobody was there to tell me about, which is to try to breathe and take it all in and enjoy the moment and just try to be where your feet are,” that is advice the Freakier Friday actress had given Sarah when she was going through an anxious time.
The Ratched actress called this a beautiful chain of women supporting women and sharing their experiences to make other women’s experiences better.
Notably, Katherine ended up winning the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series award for her role in The Pitt that night.
Sarah and her partner Holland have been together for as decade, since they started dating in 2015.
