Naomi Ackie dished on the chemistry she shares with her Blink Twice co-star and friend Zoë Kravitz, praising her creativity and personality.
At the ELLE Style Awards at Brasserie Zédel in London on Sept. 9, Ackie spoke to PEOPLE magazine after receiving ELLE's Performer of the Year award.
“It's chemistry, innit?” Ackie said of her connection with Kravitz, 36. “I think Zoë is one of the most creative, smartest, funniest women I've had the pleasure of working with, and we just clicked in a way that I can't really explain.”
The actress also discussed her friend's supportiveness, with whom she co-starred on the 2024 film Blink Twice.
“It's a shame, like, I wish she lived in London, or I wish I lived in New York, because I'd see her so much more often,” she added. “She's just so incredibly supportive. She's a strong person. I wish her all the best. I know that she feels the same way about me.”
In Blink Twice, Naomi Ackie plays Frida, a cocktail waitress drawn into the dark world of a tech billionaire, while Zoë Kravitz makes her directorial debut, shaping the film’s suspenseful narrative with sharp, feminist storytelling.
