The Conjuring original house, which inspired the decade-long horror franchise, will be auctioned off on October 31, 2025.

The house was listed by JJ Manning Auctioneers as part of a Mortgagee Foreclosure Auction scheduled for 11 am on Halloween.

According to the statement, the house is described as a historical site for paranormal sightings and activities.

It said, “In 2013, Warner Brothers released The Conjuring, which was based on true paranormal events that occurred at the subject residence with the Perron family in the 1970s.”

Though the movies weren’t filmed on the actual property, it was inspired by real-life paranormal investigators, Ed and Lorraine Warren, who came to the aid of the Perron family on a Rhode Island farmhouse in the 1970s.

Directed by James Wan, the film is based on true events that occurred in the house and also incorporates video footage from the Warren couple’s files.

On September 5, the last film in the instalment, The Conjuring: The Last Rites, was released to box office success of $194 million globally.

Notably, the feature brought back Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson as the infamous Warren investigators. Their new case involves the pair fighting against a demon hidden in an antique mirror at a curio shop.

For the unversed, The Conjuring: The Last Rites is currently playing in theatres.

When did Ed and Lorraine Warren pass away?

Ed Warren passed away at the age of 79 in 2006, and Lorraine Warren died in 2019 at the age of 92.
