Prince Harry has allegedly made some shocking demands to King Charles III before returning to the UK, leaving palace courtiers “reeling.”
The Duke of Sussex has presented a list of demands amid reports of peace talks with King Charles III, according to a top celebrity publicist
“Harry doesn’t want another trip where he feels unprotected and exposed,” a source told Rob Shuter.
"He wants 'full security' for himself and his family. He allegedly requested 'press control' to be coordinated by Buckingham Palace. Additionally, he demands that Meghan Markle be treated as Her Royal Highness, complete with bows and curtsies in her presence," claimed Shuter in his most recent Substack.
King Charles may reportedly accept his demands to see his grandchildren. In recent years, the monarch’s estrangement from his youngest son has also created distance from Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, something royal experts suggest has weighed heavily on him.
There’s potential for a face-to-face meeting when Harry arrives in England for the WellChild Awards, which is set to take place on Monday, September 8.
Meghan's husband is on board, but the ball is in Charles’ court. And the monarch, who is currently battling cancer, is torn.
A separate source told Us Weekly: “Charles does want to meet Harry.”
They added: “He doesn’t want this falling-out to overshadow his legacy. But Harry has caused chaos and hurt, so it’s complicated.”
According to royal historian Marlene Koenig: “If there is a meeting, it will be private and more likely to be on the king’s terms rather than Harry’s.”
Ingrid Seward, royal biographer and author of My Mother and I, told Newsweek that while a meeting could be on the cards, the responsibility may fall to Harry to make the trip north.
She revealed: “My opinion is that Harry desperately needs the stardust of meeting his father. He needs the glow of being the king’s son to shine on him.”
