Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani has passed away at the age of 91.
The late designer’s death was announced by his company on September 4.
The fashion icon was surrounded by his family as he breathed his last in Milan, the city he made mainstream in fashion world.
“With infinite sorrow, the Armani Group announces the passing of its creator, founder, and tireless driving force: Giorgio Armani.”
The statement also mentioned that the late icon was working until his final days.
The fashion businessman ran an empire that had a turnover of $2.7 billion a year.
The designer was worth a staggering $12.1 billion dollars as of 2025, according to Forbes.
The 91-year-old never married and had no kids.
He was often dubbed as “Re Giorgio”, which means King Giorgio.
The company statement also revealed that a funeral chamber will be set up on Saturday and Sunday in Milan followed by a private funeral ceremony at an unspecified date.
