Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry have shown that co-parenting can remain amicable even after high-profile splits.
The former couple recently celebrated their daughter Daisy’s fifth birthday, with Pirates of the Caribbean star’s ex, Miranda Kerr, also in attendance.
The 42-year-old model, who rose to prominence in 2007 as one of Victoria’s Secret’s Angels, shares a 14-year-old son, Flynn, with Bloom.
She was married to the Troy star from 2010 to 2013, having begun dating in 2007 and getting engaged in 2010.
While speaking to KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show, Kerr said, “I actually just saw them both on the weekend. We were celebrating [their daughter] Daisy’s birthday.”
“Katy is amazing, I love her. And Orlando, obviously.”
Furthermore, Kerr stressed the importance of keeping things “harmonious” after a breakup, particularly when children are involved.
“If you do have animosity, it only hurts yourself,” she added.
For those unfamiliar, the 48-year-old and the Roar singer confirmed the end of their decade-long relationship over the summer.
Though their appearance in holiday snaps on Instagram sparked reunion rumours, fans were left puzzled.
However, on July 3, the couple confirmed they had been “transitioning their relationship towards co-parenting” for several months.
Most recently, Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have sparked rumours of a romance.
