Katy Perry shuts down trolls with major milestone

American pop star Katy Perry has proven why she still is the main pop girl.

The pop icon has had a difficult year which included her separation from former fiancé Orlando Bloom and heavy backlash on her space trip as well as her shows.

The singer is currently on her Lifetimes tour which has been heavily critcised by masses, yet Katy has displayed a strong persona on stage shutting down haters.

Now, the singer has achieved a major milestone with the tour.

It has been confirmed that the Roar singer sold more than 1.1 million tickets on her current tour which grossed more than $80 million in sales, according to her management.

Katy performed a total of 45 shows in three countries, USA, Canada and Australia.

Impressively, the multi-million dollar amount does not even include her upcoming shows in Latin America, Europe and China.

The Firework singer put on the shows despite dealing with a difficult personal life as her engagement with her baby daddy Orlando ended after her controversial space trip.

In July, Katy was rumoured to be dating the former Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, who attended her show in Canada.
