Liev Schreiber commends ‘Caught Stealing’ co-star Austin Butler

Tony Award-winning actor Liev Schreiber praised his Caught Stealing co-star Austin Butler, not just for his “hot” looks but also for being “a really decent person.”

On Tuesday, Aug. 26, speaking with PEOPLE at the New York City premiere of their new movie Caught Stealing, Schreiber complimented Butler’s charm.

"He's so hot. It was just hard," Schreiber joked, before shifting to a more serious note. "He's actually really nice and a really decent person."

He further described Butler as "a straight shooter," adding that he "was very impressed with" the Academy Award nominee on set.

"And Vince D'Onofrio — it was a nice little tight group. Everybody got along," Schreiber added.

Butler headlines Darren Aronofsky’s Caught Stealing, alongside Liev Schreiber, Vincent D’Onofrio, 66, Zoë Kravitz, Matt Smith, Regina King and Bad Bunny.

The film follows Butler’s character, Henry ‘Hank’ Thompson, as he navigates New York City’s criminal underworld of the 1990s. Screenwriter Charlie Huston adapted the movie from his 2004 novel of the same name.

Caught Stealing hits theaters on Friday, Aug. 29.
