Tom Cruise looks down on Pedro Pascal’s Hollywood success: Report

Hollywood A-list actor Tom Cruise is reportedly feeling insecure about Pedro Pascal, who continues to win fans and build his presence in Hollywood.

A source told RadarOnline.com that the Mission: Impossible star is privately dismissing Pascal, viewing him as a rival whose career choices fall “way short” of his own big-screen ethos.

Pascal has been everywhere this year, appearing in Materialists, Eddington, and Fantastic Four: First Steps, a rise that has reportedly fueled Cruise’s insecurity.

An insider revealed that the 61-year-old actor has grown increasingly irritated by the spotlight on Pascal, who has earned the title of Hollywood’s “daddy” thanks to acclaimed work in both film and television.

“Tom might be in his 60s, but he has no intention of stepping aside. His drive is still as strong as ever,” the source said.

“He has softened with time and even patched things up with Brad Pitt, but Pedro is the competitor who really bothers him now,” another insider shared.

Adding further detail, a second source explained, “It’s really tied to Tom’s outlook. He thinks true movie stars should stay in film rather than bouncing between movies and TV.”

“Pedro has built his reputation doing exactly that, and Tom doesn’t respect it. For him, the goal is packing cinemas — it’s what defines his career, and he treats it with total seriousness,” the insider added.
