Lana Del Rey has opened up about the moment she first met her husband, Jeremy Dufrene, and how she instantly knew he was the one.
The 40-year-old singer, famed for her haunting ballads, tied the knot with the Louisiana tour guide last September.
However, she admits she realised she had fallen in love with him back in 2019, during their very first encounter.
Speaking to W magazine, Lana recalled: “When we met, I realised pretty immediately that I loved him… Jeremy said, ‘I work with alligators – I have tough skin.’ And he is a man of his word.”
The Summertime Sadness singer admitted that her first year of marriage has brought its share of challenges, with public attention on her private life heightening her emotions.
However, she credits Jeremy’s calm and steady nature with keeping their relationship strong.
“He just said, ‘You be you – and I’ll just love you more,’” she revealed.
Furthermore, she disclosed that they also share a quirky ritual they call “parking-lot time,” spending hours in empty car parks talking together.
Lana, whose real name is Elizabeth Woolridge Granteven, revealed the tradition inspired her unreleased track Stars Fell on Alabama.
