The King of Pop Michael Jackson passed away on June 25, 2009, yet his legacy lives on after 15 years of his death.

Considered the greatest artist of all time, Michael’s possessions have become valuable assets over time.

In 2019, Kim Kardashian bought MJ’s famous embellished jacket for her daughter, North, as a Christmas present.

Now, another one of the late icon’s clothing item has been sold for a staggering $8000.

A glittery sock that the pop star wore during a concert in France in the 1990s has been sold in France.

The Thriller singer wore the sock during his HIStory World Tour in 1997.

The item was auctioned in France on Wednesday for €6,200 ($8000).

The organisers described the item as a “cult object” which was a part of a sale featuring music memorabilia.

The used sock was found near Jackson's dressing room after the concert in the southern city of Nimes in July 1997 by a technician.

The pop icon’s possessions have been sold for much more in the past. In 2009, a Macau gaming resort acquired the iconic glittery glove worn by the late musician during the historic moment he he performed his first "moonwalk" dance in 1983, for $350,000.
