Cardi B is opening up about the backlash she has received following the release of a new track off of her upcoming second studio album.
The rapper released her single Imaginary Playerz from Am I The Drama? sampling Jay-Z’s Imaginary Players from his second record, which has seemingly sparked some negative chatter.
Since the eight-time Billboard Music Award winner is known for her outspoken and unfiltered image, she took to her X (formerly Twitter) space to unleash her fury on the people that were baselessly critiquing her.
“For people to dog pile on me over one song. And when it comes to dog piling, it’s not even just like, ‘Oh well, I don’t like this song,’ because if you don’t like this song, fine, but to come at the way I speak, to make narratives of how I think I am and who the f**k I think I am, to talk about every single piece of me, to bet on my downfall is crazy,” Cardi candidly stated.
The Bodak Yellow hitmaker then went on to add that if she ever stops making music, it will certainly not be because the words of her haters got to her.
“If my career ever ends, it’s going to be because I died,” the Grammy winner declared.
Notably, Cardi often takes to her social media to speak her mind over both her personal and professional life.
Cardi will be dropping her album, Am I The Drama? next month on September 19.
