Richard Gadd, who plays the autobiographical role of Donny in the hit series Baby Reindeer, has showed off a dramatic transformation for his next role.
The impressive, three-time Emmy winner, for writing, producing and playing the lead role in the breakthrough drama is trading his lanky appearance for a more muscular one now.
In the first look for the 2026 Half Man, the comedian looked far bulkier than his previous appearance, also ditching his trimmed beard for a fully grown one.
The new series also contains the Scottish actor as one of the lead characters and the writer, as it follows his character Ruben and co-star Jamie Bell’s character Niall, who are brothers.
As per the show’s description, the two will “reunite after years of estrangement, leading to an explosion of violence that catapults us back through their lives over the course of the series.”
It tracks the “highs and lows of Ruben and Niall’s relationship, from meeting them as troubled teenagers to witnessing their falling out as adults — with all the good, bad, terrible, funny, angry and challenging moments along the way.”
Half man is allegedly set to explore changing conditions as well as what it means to be a man, and with Gadd taking charge with a majority of the duties in the new project like his last one, expectations and anticipation are at an all-time high.
Richard Gadd hopes to someday work with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, since he is a wrestling fan.
