Calvin Harris responds to missing Miley vocals in new track
Calvin Harris, who rose to fame with his debut studio album I Created Disco, has addressed ongoing rumours of a feud with Miley Cyrus.
The speculation began after fans noticed her vocals were missing from his forthcoming track Ocean.
The 41-year-old DJ recently took to TikTok to share a clip of the song, which features singer-songwriter Jessie Reyez, who also co-wrote the track.
The followers were quick to point out that an earlier teaser had included Miley’s voice.
“What happened to the one with Miley????” one user asked.
Calvin replied: “Tell her. I do not know.”
When pressed further on whether the version with the Flowers singer would ever be released, he admitted: “I’m afraid not.”
The One Kiss vocalist later clarified that the situation was due to a “crossed wires” mistake on his part, emphasizing that there was no animosity between them.
“I love Miley,” he added, putting the feud rumours to rest.
Calvin recently returned with Smoke The Pain Away, his first solo vocal track since 2018, following last year’s hit collaboration with Ellie Goulding, Free.
Meanwhile, Miley is looking ahead to the 20th anniversary of Hannah Montana, the Disney Channel series that launched her career in 2006.
