Sofia Vergara has spoken candidly about ageing, beauty standards and the demands of Hollywood.
The 53-year-old actress, best known for her role as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in Modern Family, told Closer magazine that while the industry often prioritises a youthful appearance, she chooses to focus on the positives of growing older.
“I try to embrace age,” she said. “I know I don’t look the same now as I did in the first season of Modern Family. Getting older can still mean being beautiful.”
Vergara also advocated self-acceptance but admitted she is not opposed to cosmetic treatments.
The Hot Pursuit star revealed she has had Botox and feels no need to hide it.
“There is nothing wrong with doing what you can to slow that process down,” she added.
The actress further advised maintaining a consistent skincare routine to help prevent ageing.
Away from her beauty regime, the Griselda star has been married and divorced twice, and recently revealed that she remains hopeful about finding love again.
Sofia Vergara has wed twice. Her first marriage was to Joe Gonzalez, her childhood sweetheart in Colombia, when she was just 18. The couple divorced in 1993.
Years later, she married actor Joe Manganiello in 2015, but the pair separated in 2023 and finalised their divorce in 2024.
