Perrie Edwards breaks down opening up about painful struggle

Little Mix fame Perrie Edwards broke down in tears as she revealed a painful struggle.

The singer has been on the music scene since 2011 ever since she was put in a girl group on the UK X Factor.

Perrie revealed on the We Need To Talk podcast with Paul C Brunson that she had two miscarriages, describing the most recent as the “worst day of my life”.

The pop star has been dating footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, with whom she also shared her only son Axel, who was born in 2021.

The 32-year-old revealed that she had her first miscarriage before she had Axel.

“I remember finding out I was pregnant. Obviously, I started bleeding not long after, and I went to hospital and I had the scan and they were like, ‘There’s no baby.’”, Perrie said in tears.

She had another miscarriage less than a year after Axel’s birth. The second miscarriage happened in the 24th week of her pregnancy.

“I think when you’re 24 weeks and you’ve planned out that room and all these things, it’s really hard. And nobody knows other than immediate friends and family.”

Perrie described it as an “out-of-body experience where everything goes in slow motion”.
