The 43-year-old singer took to Instagram to share a new clip, in which both her vocals and surroundings caught attention.

She raised eyebrows by appearing before her 41.8 million followers in a brown polka-dot bralette, paired with white shorts and knee-high black boots.

The Toxic hitmaker launched into her own rendition of Prince’s legendary track Kiss while adjusting lighting equipment in her living room.

"I would say Julia Roberts singing Prince's "Kiss" off-key a touch, but I sounded really good behind the lens lol!!!," she added a playful caption.

Behind her, a visibly untidy living space could be seen, while towards the end of the recording, her small dog wandered into view.

During the clip, Spears added a spontaneous line, declaring, “I don’t know who I am,” before laughing it off and adjusting a nearby lamp.

Viewers were quick to notice her pitch slipping off-key at times, prompting concern from some fans.

She also joked about her casual attire, saying, "I put these boots on to play with lighting ... not the most elegant look but hey!!!"
