JISOO, Zayn Malik’s long-awaited duet ‘Eyes Closed’ finally out now

K-pop royalty JISOO and British heartthrob Zayn Malik have stunned fans with their first-ever collaboration, Eyes Closed, released today October 10.

The unexpected pairing reportedly blossomed after the Stardust crooner attended BLACKPINK’s Deadline World Tour earlier this year with his daughter. 

The encounter sparked mutual admiration between the global stars, leading to months of cryptic teasers that sent social media into a frenzy.

Notably, the moody, cinematic ballad sees the duo blending their soulful vocals in a track that explores trust, vulnerability, and love beyond appearances, wrapped around the haunting refrain, “we should fall in love with our eyes closed.”

For JISOO, the duet follows the phenomenal success of her debut solo EP Amortage, which dominated the Circle Album Chart and topped Billboard’s World Albums Sales Chart earlier this year.

Its lead single Earthquake became a global hit and solidified her as one of K-pop’s strongest solo acts.

Meanwhile, Eyes Closed marks Zayn's highly anticipated return after his 2024 album Room Under The Stairs, showcasing a softer, more introspective side to the former One Direction star.

With fans already calling it “a match made in musical heaven,” the new track is now streaming worldwide and is bound to be this autumn’s most talked-about duet.

How many major collaborations has Zayn Malik released?

Before teaming up with JISOO, Zayn Malik had already built an impressive list of collaborations that showcased his versatility and global appeal. 

In 2016, he joined forces with Taylor Swift for the sultry hit I Don’t Wanna Live Forever from the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack, which became an international success. 

The following year, he released Dusk Till Dawn with Sia, a soaring ballad that highlighted his powerful vocals and cinematic sound. 

He also explored a more relaxed vibe with PARTYNEXTDOOR on Still Got Time, a tropical R&B track that quickly became a fan favourite.
