Taylor Swift, making headlines for her upcoming album The Life of a Showgirl, has credited her younger brother, Austin Swift, for playing a crucial role in a significant music deal.
The 35-year-old pop star revealed on her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast that her family helped her regain ownership of her master recordings from Shamrock Capital.
“I wanted to buy my music outright. It was a long shot,” Taylor explained.
“Rather than sending lawyers or management, I sent my mum and my brother, who works closely with me, to Los Angeles.”
Fortunately, the Eras Tour hitmaker secured full rights to her first six albums.
“I think about this every day now. I can't believe it happened. How lucky am I?” she added.
Austin has long been a trusted confidant for the Bad Blood singer, whom he calls his “best pal.”
The pair often celebrate one another’s accomplishments, with him sharing heartfelt tributes on her birthdays and album releases.
Professionally, the 33-year-old has also built a career as an actor and producer, appearing in films such as I.T., Live by Night, and We Summon the Darkness.
He is reportedly dating model Sydney Ness, who has been seen accompanying the Swift family at various events.
Taylor Swift has only one brother, Austin Swift.
