Bruno Mars, who recently kicked off his tour, The Romantic, provided fans with an update regarding his debts.

The singer was previously caught in a controversy when it was revealed that he was under $50 million debt from MGM because of gambling.

Right before opening the first night of the tour with his hit 24K Magic, alongside his Silk Sonic partner, Anderson .Paak, Bruno gushed, “I’m debt-free. I paid the casino off a long time ago.”

Although the rumours, which first started in 2024, have been continuously addressed by MGM Resorts International since then with denial, the fans still have their doubts.

According to NewsNation, the source revealed, “[MGM] basically owns him. He makes $90 million a year off of the deal he did with the casino, but then he has to pay back his debt.”

Notably, as per MGM, the singer never had any debts with them, and they shared that their partnership is based on mutual respect.

For the unfamiliar, Bruno has joked about the situation multiple times as he previously made a post on Instagram and wrote, “Almost out of debt BehhhhhBehhhhh!!!”

The songwriter wrote this soon after his live performance with BLACKPINK’s Rosé for her Los Angeles show.

It is to be noted that the duo collaborated in the same year when the rumours broke out, for the chart-topping song, APT.
