Meghan Markle is heading back to court, and royal experts fear it could shatter Prince Harry’s attempts to mend ties with the royal family.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, is facing a fresh legal showdown with her estranged half-sister, Samantha Markle, despite a previous defamation case being dismissed with prejudice in 2024.
The dispute is now set for an appeals court hearing in September, a move that risks dragging Meghan back into damaging headlines the Palace would prefer to avoid. Royal commentator Ian Pelham Turner told Fox News: “More legal disputes between Meghan and Samantha could break the fragile links between Prince Harry and Meghan trying to establish a way forward.”
Branding analyst Doug Eldridge echoed the warning, noting that when someone is “seen as the negative variable… it intensifies that polarisation to near-acerbic levels.”
With rumours swirling that Harry is extending an olive branch to his family, this latest family feud could cast the darkest shadow yet over any potential reconciliation.
