Meghan Markle’s recent absence from social media has raised eyebrows among royal watchers, but a royal expert says there may be a simple explanation.
The Duchess of Sussex, who turns 44 today, has maintained a prominent online presence since relaunching her Instagram account earlier this year to promote her lifestyle brand, As Ever.
However, her posts have noticeably slowed over the past month, sparking speculation about the sudden silence.
Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond believes the pause may be temporary.
“After quite a blitz of Instagram messages and posts, Meghan has been rather quiet lately,” Bond told The Mirror.
“That could be because the children are now home from school, or that she is between projects.”
Meghan, who lives in Montecito, California with Prince Harry and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, has recently been juggling multiple ventures, including her Netflix series With Love, Meghan and her lifestyle product launches.
Despite the lull in posts, Meghan recently shared a promotional update for the upcoming release of her 2024 Napa Valley rosé, which is expected to go on sale this week.
Her first batch of wine sold out within hours, and the second drop is anticipated to generate similar buzz.
